I became a genealogy addict – full stop.
I loved every minute of working on this series. I’ve had the opportunity to learn so much about so many different areas of history including but not limited to: prostitution in early 20th century London, Sephardic Jewish communities who fled the Spanish Inquisition, the Suffrage Movement, the Swedish Famine of 1867, Jamaican slavery and the transition to freedom, South Wales Temperance societies, the Easter Rising, Barge Builders on the Thames, 17th Cent Housing in Kent Hulkships, 20th century Asylum Records, mid-19th century prison warders, diamond mining in South Africa and an abundance of military history.
My experience on WDYTYA has left me able to tackle lots of interesting areas of history through the visor of the individual and vice versa. I also have lots of experience in navigating archives and libraries, and in collaborating with historians and experts in varying fields.
I also operated 2nd Camera.
